About
This is DevMoment
Field notes from shipping with AI.
DevMoment is a daily-feel notebook from inside the work. I'm a developer shipping real things with AI in the loop — vibe coding sessions that run long, IDE rituals I keep tweaking, MCP servers I wire up to see what breaks, and the weekend builds that somehow make it to production. I write it down while it's still warm, present tense, the way I'd caption it in a group chat.
No think-piece energy here. If a tool saved me an hour, I'll tell you exactly which hour. If it cost me one, I'll tell you that too. The goal is the field note — specific, dated, honest about what actually happened on the screen.
Who writes it
Dani Reyes — most of the journal. Vibe coding, AI IDE setups, MCP experiments, and the weekend rebuilds. Writes from the keyboard, usually mid-session.
M. Patel — occasional deep dives and tooling round-ups, with a soft spot for the settings nobody reads until year two.
What you'll find
- Vibe coding — what the third hour with an AI pair really looks like.
- AI IDE — the rituals, the settings, the keybindings I changed and why.
- MCP — wiring servers to the editor and watching them do real work.
- Weekend builds — side projects shipped fast, with the receipts.
Got a moment worth writing up? Say hi — I read everything.
